I Do’s

The “I Do’s” is when the couple legally consent to marriage.

I Do 1

Will you, CLIENT, cherish CLIENT as your lawfully wedded WIFE/HUSBAND, protecting HIM/HER and tending to HIS/HER needs through both good times and bad?

CLIENT:  I will.

Will you strive to understand HIM/HER, giving HIM/HER comfort when HE/SHE seeks it from you?  Will you try never to say in anger that which you would never say in friendship?  Will you, each day, appreciate HIM/HER for all that HE/SHE is to you?

CLIENT:  I will.

I Do 2

Your marriage begins today with the vows you make to one another.  This vow is a promise of honest and of fidelity

CLIENT, do you love CLIENT willingly and completely, withholding none of yourself?  Will you protect HIM/HER and give HIM/HER your deepest considerations of HIS/HER feelings and needs?

CLIENT:  I will.

Will you strive to keep your love open and flexible, adapting to the changes that life can bring to a marriage?  And will you be CLIENT’s best friend and beloved from this day forward?

CLIENT:  I will\

I Do 3

Do you, CLIENT, welcome CLIENT as your HUSBAND/WIFE, offering HIM/HER your love, your encouragement, your support, your love and your trust?

CLIENT:  I do.

I Do 4

Do you, CLIENT, promise to love and respect CLIENT, to share your life and dreams, and to build with HIM/HER a home that is a place of love, joy, commitment, and growth?

CLIENT:  I do.

Do you promise to be by HIS/HER side through all of HIS/HER successes, as well as HIS/HER failures, through happiness and through sorrow, through sickness and through health?

CLIENT:  I do.

I Do 5

CLIENT, do you take CLIENT to be your lawful wedded HUSBAND/WIFE?

CLIENT:  I do.

Do you promise to love and cherish HIM/HER. in sickness and in health, for richer and for poorer, for better for worse, and forsaking all others for so long as you both shall live?

CLIENT:  I do.
